Phyllo – even the name sounds fluffy and delicately delicious. The name means “leaf<\/em>” in Greek because of this unleavened dough’s thin texture.<\/p>\n

It’s one of my favorite doughs to work with because I’m always guaranteed a light and fluffy texture with just the right amount of flaky and crispy to make any pastry, pie, or layered dish melt in your mouth fabulous!<\/p>\n

While frozen phyllo is readily available, I prefer making my own whenever I can. It’s not that difficult and there are only a few pantry staples like flour, oil, and water.<\/p>\n
